Job Description

LOCATION:          Special Education – N. Colonie CSD-Southgate Elementary School

BASIC FUNCTION:  
Remediation of speech and language disorders.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  
Individual and group speech/language therapy in consultation with the Special Education classroom teacher.  

Job Qualifications

1. NYS certification as a Teacher of Speech & Hearing Handicapped or Speech & Language Disasbilities; and
2. NYS license as a Speech/Language Pathologist preferred.

The selected applicant will be subject to a fingerprint supported criminal history background check in accordance with SAVE Legislation effective July 1, 2001.

Application Procedure

SALARY offer will be in accordance with Teachers Unit contract, commensurate with relevant experience and prorated to amount of service rendered.  BOCES employee salary commensurate with experience and in accordance with contract language.
