| Assistant Superintendent for Operations (Revised) | 2026-5R | LOCATION: Central Administration – 900 Watervliet-Shaker Road BASIC FUNCTION: The Assistant Superintendent for Operations provides big picture leadership for the business, purchasing, and financial affairs of the BOCES; the functions of the human resources department & BOCES facilities. At the direction of the District Superintendent, may report to the Board on specific matters. Reports to Deputy District Superintendent & Chief Operating Officer. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Provides long-range vision and planning on all operational functions of the BOCES.
- Provides active leadership of achievement of organizational goals, vision & BOCES commitments. Provides leadership to division & department directors in budgetary matters and supports organizational budget development.
- Oversee the leadership of the Director of Business Operations, Director of Facilities, and Director of Human Resources.
- Coordinates the presentation of, justification for, and preparation of additional analyses required to understand the proposed budget.
- Interfaces with component school districts on billing, services, and co-sers.
- Facilitates regional leadership of School Business Officials.
- Acts as advisor to the District Superintendent & Deputy District Superintendent & Chief Operating Officer on all questions relating to the business and financial affairs of the BOCES.
- Assists in recruiting, hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating personnel.
- Works closely and cooperatively with federal, state, and independent auditors.
- Works with the General Counsel on preparation of draft policies.
- Remains abreast of developments and innovations in the field by reading current literature, attending professional association meetings and conferences, and discussing developments and problems of mutual interest with others in the field.
- Attends Board meetings and prepares such reports for the Board as the District Superintendent may assign.
- Assists the District Superintendent in preparing materials for negotiations, keeping records concerning negotiations, and assisting in the administration of the negotiated contracts.
- Serves as a resource to committees of the Board.
- Supports oversight of BOCES awarded grants.
- Facilitates organization of safety including Incident Response Team and training.

| Assistant Principal-Special Education | 2026-126 | LOCATION: Special Education – Maywood Academy BASIC FUNCTION: Serve in support of the Special Education School Principal. Comply with and administer the appropriate laws, regulations, policies and procedures affecting the Special Education Division. Other duties as assigned. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Provide administrative and curriculum support to the Principal to ensure a safe, high-quality learning environment aligned with NYS Next Generation Learning Standards, P-12 Learning Standards, and Individual Educational Plan (IEP) requirements.
- Assist in all aspects of daily school operations, including the implementation of policies, programs, and curriculum activities that support individualized student development.

| Health Careers & Services Supervisor (NY HELPS) | 2026-37 | LOCATION: Career & Technical Education – Adult Health Careers Program BASIC FUNCTION: This is a professional position that involves leadership and oversight of staff and daily student activities within the Health Careers & Services Program at the Capital Region BOCES Career & Technical School. The incumbent will work collaboratively as a member of the CTE administrative team and will lead and supervise the secondary and post-secondary Health Careers programs and services. Direct supervision is exercised over the Health Careers teachers and support staff. The work is performed under the general supervision of the Director-Health Careers & Services. Does related work as required. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Directly supervises and evaluates Adult Health Careers teachers and support staff.
- Leads and is responsible for curriculum, clinical rotations and scheduling of Adult Health Careers programs.
- Oversees clinical rotations and scheduling for secondary Health Careers & Services program, in collaboration with the director.
- Utilizes data to assess the effectiveness of staffing patterns, scheduling and organizational structures in attaining desired student outcomes, in collaboration with the director.
