BASIC FUNCTION:

Supervise and administer aspects of BOCES regional school program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Responsible for directing and supporting overall site operations, services, and staff.
  2. Provide leadership and support to site supervisors and staff.
  3. Hire summer school faculty and staff members to fill openings with qualified personnel.
  4. Participate in the planning of the BOCES Regional Summer School program with the Director of Educational Support Services or other assigned staff.
  5. Establish a daily schedule in consultation with participating school districts.
  6. Revise the faculty and student handbooks.
  7. Assist in coordinating NERIC services with participating sites and districts.
  8. Be on-site daily at summer school site locations to provide support and guidance to summer school site supervisors and staff.
  9. Establish registration procedures.
  10. Establish staffing levels based on student enrollment.
  11. Develop a master schedule for the summer school program.
  12. Acquire accurate student registration statistics for summer school BOCES service billing.
  13. Oversee the accurate completion and collection of employee time sheets.
  14. Complete grade reporting.
  15. Develop an examination schedule.
  16. Determine the needs and acquire staff for proctoring and special education accommodation for examinations.
  17. Facilitate the regional scoring process for Regent’s examinations.
  18. Participate in debriefing meetings following summer school.
  19. Implement policies, procedures, and/or processes to provide direction and comply with mandated requirements.
$66.00 per hour up to 300 hours
