Job Description

LOCATION:          Special Education – Multiple Locations

BASIC FUNCTION:

Provide instructional and modified materials for visually impaired students.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assessment, development of curriculum, instruction and evaluation of children who are visually impaired and enrolled in regular and/or special education programs.

Job Qualifications

1. New York State certification as Teacher of the Visually Impaired
2. Experience with visually impaired children in a school setting.

The selected applicant will be subject to a fingerprint supported criminal history background check in accordance with SAVE Legislation effective July 1, 2001.

Application Procedure

SALARY offer will be in accordance with current Teacher’s Unit contract language; commensurate with relevant experience and prorated to amount of service rendered.
