Job Description

LOCATION:          Northeastern Regional Information Center – Albany or North Country Region       

BASIC FUNCTION:

Northeastern Regional Information Center (NERIC) Cooperative Technology Services provides information technology resources, data security platforms and management to support school districts comprehensive technology inventory to include network, servers, end user devices, etc. and security posture. CTS also includes onsite and remote support from multiple NERIC teams. This position will provide leadership for all Cooperative Technology Services activities in the NERIC footprint under the general direction of the Deputy Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provides oversight for all Cooperative Technical Services. Supports process for interviewing and recommending employment for CTS staff.
2. Supervises and evaluates the activities of Cooperative Technology Services management staff.
3. Promotes and develops Cooperative Technology Services to BOCES and school districts.
4. Coordinate activities with Cooperative Technology Services designated staff on a continuous basis.
5. Interfaces with schools to help support development of potential technology solutions and the work of CTS activities and other NERIC services.
6. Assists in the development and monitoring of budgets, CoSers and planning documents.
7. Performs other tasks as directed by the immediate supervisor. Reports to the NERIC Deputy Director.

Job Qualifications

1. Valid New York State School District Leader (SDL) or School District Administration (SDA) certificate, and
2. At least five (5) years experience in a related area with district leadership.
3. Experience with educational technology leadership preferred but not required.

The selected applicant will be subject to a fingerprint supported criminal history background check in accordance with SAVE Legislation effective July 1, 2001.

SALARY commensurate with education and experience prorated to amount of service rendered.

BOCES employee salary commensurate with experience and in accordance with contract language.
