Job Description

LOCATION:          Special Education – Watervliet Elementary School

ANTICIPATED DATES:   September 2, 2026 through June 25, 2027

BASIC FUNCTION:  
Remediation of speech and language disorders.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  
A. Individual and group speech/language therapy in consultation with the Special Education classroom teacher.  

Job Qualifications

1. NYS certification as a Teacher of Speech & Hearing Handicapped or Speech & Language Disabilities; and
2. NYS license as a Speech/Language Pathologist preferred.

The selected applicant will be subject to a fingerprint supported criminal history background check in accordance with SAVE Legislation effective July 1, 2001.

Application Procedure

SALARY will be in accordance with our Teachers Unit contract commensurate with relevance experience and prorated to amount of service rendered.
