Job Description

LOCATION:                          Special Education – Westmere Elementary School

ANTICIPATED DATES:     April 2, 2026 – June 30, 2026

BASIC FUNCTION:           
To implement IEP goals and objectives for each student.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  
Assessment, curriculum development, instruction and evaluation of students with handicapping conditions.

Job Qualifications

1. NYS certificate as a Teacher of the Deaf.
2. Knowledge of total communication techniques and fluent sign language skills preferred.

The selected applicant will be subject to a fingerprint supported criminal history background check in accordance with SAVE Legislation effective July 1, 2001.

SALARY:  BOCES employee salary commensurate with experience and in accordance with contract language.
